Mead, pursuant to President Donald Trump's Proclamation issued Sunday, November 5, 2017 has ordered both the U.S. and State of Wyoming flag be flown at half-staff statewide beginning immediately until sunset on Thursday, November 9, 2017 as a mark of respect for the victims in Sutherland Springs, Texas.

Insurance for Student iPads and Laptop Computers: Enrollment Period to re-open November 6th

The enrollment period for the optional device insurance for middle school and high school students will re-open November 6-10, 2017 for parents to purchase optional insurance to cover damage to student devices (iPads or laptop computers).

Teton County School District #1 will offer a Walking School Bus (WSB) in East Jackson starting on the first day of school to help students and families walk to and from school safely and get there on time.

USDA Funding Reductions Impact Fresh Fruit Program

For the last several years, TCSD #1 has received grant funding from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) through the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) to support a fresh fruit in schools program for the entire school year.  This week we received notification from WDE that the USDA has reduced the funding, dramatically impacting the program.

Today the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) publicly released the results of the Proficiency Assessments for Wyoming Students (PAWS).  School, district, and state results are available on the WDE’s Fusion site.

TCSD #1 Culinary Team Ranks #11 at the Prostart National Competition Students Participating in Culinary Conference

In what can best be described as "The Superbowl of Cooking Competitions" Team Wyoming competed against 300 other young chefs from around the world and prepared an outstanding 3-course menu in one hour using only two small gas burners, no electricity or refrigeration.

 

Lisa Gingery Named TCSD #1 Teacher of the Year School Board and staff honor teacher of the year

Nominated by her peers, a selection committee selected Ms Gingery from four teacher nominees to represent the TCSD #1 teaching staff in the Wyoming Teacher of the Year program.  The other three nominees were Ann Mertaugh, Stan Morgan, and Michelle Rinaldi. The district recognizes the members of the Selection Committee for the difficult process of selecting one overall TCSD Teacher-of -the-Year from four amazing nominees.
